Miami-based digital commerce platform strengthens strategic leadership as it expands relationships with enterprise retailers and national foodservice brands
MIAMI (October 22, 2026) — Vroom Delivery, the digital commerce platform built for convenience retail, today announced that Whitney Johnson has joined the company as a board advisor. Johnson brings extensive experience leading digital commerce, loyalty, and marketing teams at some of the industry's largest retailers. Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Vroom Delivery, as the company expands its work with enterprise convenience retailers and national foodservice brands.
“Whitney understands digital commerce as well as anyone, having been in the driver's seat at companies like Cumberland Farms and Gopuff,” said John Nelson, Co-Founder and CEO of Vroom Delivery. “We've had the opportunity to work with her in the past, and we've seen firsthand the perspective she brings to the table. She understands what it takes to build and scale successful programs, which is why we're so excited for her to help guide our strategic direction as we enter this next phase of growth.”
A 15-year convenience retail veteran, Johnson has built a career around reinventing how retailers connect with their customers. She has scaled loyalty programs to record adoption, turned digital commerce into a meaningful revenue driver, and drove the transformation of traditional retailers into omnichannel businesses. Her experience spans executive and leadership roles at Cumberland Farms, Gopuff, Murphy USA, and Sunoco, where she led marketing, merchandising, and digital commerce teams. Johnson recently joined Axonet as a strategic advisor, and she was honored by Convenience Store News as a 2026 Woman of the Year recipient.
Digital commerce has fundamentally changed what it means to be convenient, creating new opportunities for convenience retailers to reach customers, grow sales, and extend their businesses beyond the physical store. Vroom Delivery has been at the forefront of this evolution for more than a decade. As the company enters its next phase of growth, working with leading enterprise retailers and national foodservice brands while accelerating the development of new capabilities, Johnson will play an important role by helping its strategic direction.
“Convenience has always been about meeting customers where they are, and digital commerce provides new ways to deliver on that promise,” said Johnson. “Whether customers are visiting a store or ordering from the comfort of their own homes, we have more opportunities than ever to understand their needs, deliver experiences that exceed their expectations, and build stronger relationships. Vroom Delivery is at the forefront of what's next for digital commerce in our industry. I'm excited to help shape that future alongside them.”
